The Nougat Marmite

1. Preparation of nougat by heating sugar up until it is light brown
2. We add the sliced almonds
3. Nougat is lowered by hand, care very hot.
4. The lowed nougat is placed in a mold to give the desired shape.
5. Once cooled, the pieces are removed from the mold.
6. The edge of the crests decoreted with chocolate by hand.
7. The feets are formed and cut with a knife.
8. The different parts of the Marmite d’Escalade.
9. The parts are glued by hand using hot sugar.
10. The marmite is decorated with chocolate.
11. The marmite d’Escalade in nougat is completed.

Rohr is one of the few confectioner in Geneva how still make nougat marmite.

It seems that the marmite were made of nougat befor the one made in chocolate.
